Bianca Prieto mentioned The Poynter Institute today and I we didn't get a chance to talk about it. Poynter is part of the foundation that owns The St. Petersburg Times and is dedicated to journalism. In addition to classes and seminars, Poynter has a blog Romenesko at http://www.poynter.org/column.asp?id=45 which posts stories about newspapers, TV and magazines.
Most journalists check it at least once a day to find out what is happening in the industry.
