For the first time, every member of one of my classes has had a story published in the Central Florida Future, making them eleigible for at least a C grade.
This is a tremendous accomplishment. I know it isn't easy to fit in the assignments in addition to all the work you have to do for other classes.
And we have now logged 37 published stories -- only 4 to go to break that record.
You should be very proud.

I’ve worked in England, South Africa - where I was declared a prohibited immigrant for coverage of the anti-apartheid movement – Canada and the United States. In 1973, I became the first woman to be appointed news editor by The Associated Press. I’ve covered and edited every type of story from riots, murders, courts, fires, British Royal tours, plane crashes, sea disasters, hurricanes, elections, political scandals and even golf and tennis. I loved working in a newsroom and can’t remember a day that was really boring. There is nothing better than the thrill of covering a big story. Warning – I have little patience with those who treat journalism as a 9-to-5 job. My last job was as deputy managing editor of the Orlando Sentinel.
